Laura Morales appointed as New Member of the CONNEX Support Unit Advisory Committee

The CONNEX Support Unit is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Laura Morales to the Advisory Committee of the CONNEX Support Unit. Her appointment follows the renewal of the terms of current Advisory Committee members during the June 2019 meeting of the CONNEX Support Unit Advisory Committee and Governing Board.

The CONNEX Support Unit Advisory Committee, comprised of nine highly experienced and outstanding experts in relevant sectors, provides high quality advice to the Secretariat and Governing Board of the CONNEX Support Unit.

Ms. Morales has extensive experience in business development in investment banking. She, among others, launched and headed the Middle East Wholesale Banking efforts of the Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentina (BBVA). Her investment banking experience spans several countries, having worked in Europe, South America and the Middle East.

 

Ms. Morales looks forward to bringing her wealth of experience and network to ensuring the continued success of the CONNEX Support Unit.

Laura Morales

Laura Morales is currently an advisor to small family firms and investors. Until November 2016 she created and headed the Middle East Wholesale Banking efforts for BBVA. In 2010, she launched a Private Equity Research Center for Insead in Abu Dhabi. Previously, she was Director at Merrill Lynch where she led the Structured Products Origination and Distribution teams in Private Banking for Europe and the Middle East. Before, she has held different Investment and Wholesale Banking roles in Barclays Capital in London, and, BankBoston and Banco Wiese in Perú. She holds an MBA from Insead and a Bachelors in Accounting and Finance from Florida International University.
